Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux

The winemaking couple Pierre and B̩atrice Ardoin have been proving for decades that good Bordeaux can be very affordable. This beautiful red Bordeaux is made from old merlot vines supplemented with approximately 10% cabernet sauvignon and malbec grapes. After fermentation, the wine matures for six months in used oak barrels, followed by twelve months in larger tanks. The clarification here still takes place in a natural and traditional manner using only egg whites. A textbook example of Bordeaux with an excellent price-quality ratio!
