Pedroncelli Mother Clone Zinfandel
American red wine with a spicy fruity and spicy aroma with nuances of oak. The full fresh taste combines well with grilled lamb or beef with light herbs.
Red wine from Sonomo Valley
When Giovanni (John sr.) Pedroncelli started his wine business in 1927 with the purchase of vineyards, 25-year-old Zinfandel sticks stood there. From these sticks the Mother Clone have since been used for new plantings. These nearly 110-year-old sticks still provide reproduction, but they also contribute to the Zinfandel blend!
The result is a complex spicy full oak-aged wine with a lot of length and structure. The Pedroncelli family works traditionally and picks the grapes manually. In addition, the wine stabilizes naturally in barrel during the fifteen months. California wines are often grossly underestimated in terms of quality, but you should definitely taste this great value for money!
