Favorite in young white Alsace
Revue du Vin de France names Etienne Loew's sylvaner as its favourite in the 'young white Alsace' category. This wine finished in second place (just behind the famous Domaine Weinbach) as best sylvaner! A wonderful result that does justice to the special way in which the passionate Etienne works. The flavour-determining factors? Low yields from vines that are over eighty years old, organic planting and the special method of vinification - with a long, controlled alcoholic fermentation to dry white wine.
When asked, Etienne says he almost regrets drinking the wine at such a young age. Loew aims to 'rehabilitate' the sylvaner and restore the reputation that he believes is appropriate for this grape. The beautiful Vérité has a great concentration and is an excellent culinary wine that can be served with many dishes.
