Full red wine from Italy with a powerful and spicy aroma. The taste is soft and fresh and goes very well with spicy pasta dishes or grilled meat from the barbecue.
Flawless juicy organic wines from Italy
This beautiful Abruzzo wine distinguishes itself convincingly from the large pool of light and thin wines that are mainly aimed at high yields. With his wine company Collefrisio, De Luca shows what opportunities this still undervalued region has. The grapes for this rich, full and at the same time supple red wine are harvested late in the second half of October and in perfectly healthy condition.
Optimally ripe grapes provide juiciness and fruit, but also soft tannins: important conditions for a pleasant drinkability. On warm days, the wine tastes even better slightly chilled. Can be used all year round, for example with salads and barbecue, but also delicious with robust stews.
In contrast to the large dominant cooperatives in southern Italy's Abruzzo, the small Azienda Collefrisio uses winemaking techniques aimed at high quality and preservation of typicity. In the organically farmed vineyards, excellent wines are made that are among the very best in the region.
Amedeo De Luca and Antonio Patricelli also possess the Italian sense of style and have recently embellished the labels. It is clear to them that not only the wine must taste good, but the packaging is just as important! Filarè is the successor to the Collefrisio Zero series.
