Powerful dry white wine with a rich aroma of ripe tropical fruit and refined wood tones. Beautiful wine, excellent with many fish dishes, but also very tasty with poultry or veal.

Description

DeMorgenzon Estate is not only a very beautiful wine estate, here everything is dominated by quality. The vineyards are located on the higher and cool part of Stellenbosch between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. DeMorgenzon's philosophy: combining the fruitiness and expressiveness of the New World with the elegance and refinement of the Old World. This is expressed at DeMorgenzon in wines with a pleasant drinkability.

The Maestro White is a blend of about a quarter roussanne and a quarter chardonnay supplemented with about equal parts grenache blanc chenin blanc and viognier. The leading Platter's wine guide ranks the Maestro White among the best white wines in South Africa.

The vineyards have a low yield of about 30 hectoliters per hectare and the grapes have a naturally fresh acidity. After fermentation, the Maestro White matures for ten months in small oak casks. Bottling follows after a light filtering. The wine now has an impressive palmares and we can only buy a modest amount of this wine!
