A wonderfully fruity Godello

Fruity Spanish white wine from the godello grape with fresh citrus and peach scents and a soft, mildly dry taste. Delicious with seafood salads and stewed fish.

Galician top quality

Despite - or perhaps because of - the dominance of the albariño grape in Galicia, there is room for alternatives. For example, in the wine region of Valdeorras, where the indigenous godello grape is making waves.

This grape is on the rise: many Spanish restaurateurs and sommeliers are looking for Galician wine of good but affordable quality.
The vineyards of Abadía de Nostín are located at an altitude of over 600 meters and are cool enough to allow this special and little-spread grape to ripen optimally. The producer Bodega Santa Marta is a family business with 12 hectares of its own vineyards.

The godello grape ferments cool and matures for a short time in stainless steel tanks where the natural yeast is not removed. Partly because of this, a wonderful balance is created between freshness and a ripe taste.
