Grave Blanc
French dry white wine with a fresh and refined aroma of citrus, apple and light oak notes. The taste is full, balanced and fresh. Nice wine with poached or fried fish.
South of Bordeaux
The underexposed Graves appellation, south of the city of Bordeaux, offers wines that are among the most valuable in the Bordeaux region. For dry, white wines aged in wooden casks, the region has become a reference for insiders.
The beautiful white wine from Perrine and Fabien Lalanne is a striking example of top quality Graves. The approximately nine-hectare vineyard for the white wine is planted half with sauvignon blanc and the other half with semillon.
The grapes are picked by hand. The sauvignon undergoes a short soaking with the skins, the semillon is pressed immediately. Both parts remain in a cool tank for four days and then ferment in small oak casks. The eight months maturation on the yeast cells ensures a fuller, complex taste.
The result is a luxurious, classic Graves, which is delicious with baked scallops, a platter of fruits de mer or fish in a creamy sauce.
