Tasting note Collefrisio Falanghina
Dry white wine from Italy with the scent of peach apple and some anise. The taste is full, soft and intense. Excellent accompaniment to dishes with fish, white meat or chicken.
Description
In addition to the excellent basic wines, Collefrisio makes a powerful dry white wine from the special Phalanghina grape, whose cradle is Naples. With its pure, full and juicy dry taste, this Falanghina is a serious competitor to the luxurious Campanian wines from the same grape.
Winemaker Amedeo De Luca uses the bâtonnage technique in which the yeast cells are 'stirred' in the tank during the maturing process and thus remain in contact with the wine. This gives roundness, smoothness and even an idea of light oak. Very successful and a nice accompaniment to summer dishes such as fish or chicken from the grill and meal salads.
Collefrisio
Flawless juicy organic wines from Italy
In contrast to the large dominant cooperatives in the southern Italian Abruzzo, the small Azienda Collefrisio uses winemaking techniques that focus on high quality and preservation of typicity. The organically farmed vineyards produce excellent wines that are among the very best in the region.
Amedeo De Luca and Antonio Patricelli also have the Italian sense of style and have recently embellished the labels. It is clear to them that not only should the wine taste good, but the packaging is just as important!
