French rosé with the fresh fruity scent of strawberry and raspberry. The juicy taste combines well with fresh summer salads, charcuterie and light pasta dishes.
Grape vines located on the coast
The south of France is the region par excellence for rosé. The newest wine in our range is the light-colored and spicy rosé from Cour des Dames. Made from directly pressed Grenache grapes from vineyards close to the coast between Montpellier and Sète. A wine that will also appeal to lovers of the refined “Provence” style.
Laurent Delaunay responsible for the La Cour des Dames wines comes from a family with a long history in Burgundy. After training as an oenologue and working experience in California, among other places, he established himself in 1995 as an independent winemaker in France near Nuits-Saint Georges. In addition to specializing in high Burgundy, he soon focused on the selection of high-quality wine in the south of France.
Interesting detail: the name La Tour des Dames was changed to La Cour des Dames from the 2014 harvest because the famous Château Latour in Bordeaux (!) objected to the use of the old name.
