Description
White Rhône grape varieties are making a comeback and enriching the wine range with their original flavors. For example, at Le Clos du Caillou there are old vines of Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne in the vineyard.
These grapes often have a hard time competing with popular and well-known grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc. But fortunately, these classics have never disappeared from the better French gastronomy, where they are valued and non-dominant table companions in refined dishes.
Bruno Gaspard makes optimal use of modern vinification techniques to make contemporary white organic wines from these traditional grape varieties. Le Caillou Blanc has a juicy taste with a wonderful freshness and is almost naturally bottled without any form of oak maturation.
This dry, fragrant white wine tastes best when young, but lovers of ripe notes can easily keep it for up to three years after harvest. Not only a gastronomically interesting wine, but also a delicious aperitif. Highly recommended!
