Marco de Grazia and his organic rosé

The Burgundy of the Mediterranean, is how owner Marco de Grazia characterizes his refined, mineral Sicilian wines, from slope vineyards on the northern flank of the Etna volcano. The altitude provides cooling and refinement to the wines.

The organic plantings and the ambition to produce top quality force Marco to produce low yields so that the native grapes have a beautiful expression. The special rosé is made from the blue-colored Nerello Mascalese grape from the youngest vines, collected from the entire thirty hectare domain.

Due to the coolness at this altitude (600 to 900 meters), the harvest will only take place in the first week of October. After harvest, the grapes are lightly pressed, coolly fermented and, after a short rest period, bottled.
