Gavi, DOCG Piemonte

Gavi, the wine region in Piemonte is also known for its easy-to-listen and memorable name! However, the brothers Gianni and Dino Bertolino of Olim Bauda do not need that help. Their Gavi is a delicious, refreshing and flavoursome white wine from the Cortese grape, which is also characterised by the calcareous soil in the vineyards. Almost naturally made without wood maturation to retain maximum freshness. Well done because the taste has, in addition to the beautiful, fresh-mild acids, also ripe tones of stone fruit. This means that the grapes are perfectly ripe and healthy, harvested at exactly the right time. It is very understandable that Italians like to drink the fresh Gavi in the summer, for example with fried courgette flowers.
