A delicious Trocken Weissburgunder
Youthful fragrant dry white wine from Germany with the scent of ripe apples and a soft juicy taste. Delicious as an aperitif but also delicious with fresh salads, asparagus and fish.
The brothers Christoph and Johannes
The talented brothers Christoph and Johannes Thörle work the 19 hectares of their wine estate in the northern part of Rheinhessen entirely by hand. “Every vine, every grape and every wine bears our stamp,” says Christoph. "By working so intensively with the soil and the vines, we know better and better what exactly our vineyards need."
The Weissburgunder grapes or Pinot Blanc are picked by hand to obtain the best possible quality. For optimal aromatic expression, the peels first soak in the grape juice for 18 hours. Fermentation then starts in mainly stainless steel tanks to retain the fruity character. After fermentation, the wine rests on the dead yeast cells for approximately 4 months for extra depth and complexity.
