Lenardo Sauvignon Blanc
Fresh dry white wine from Italy with an aroma of citrus grapefruit and boxwood. The juicy spicy taste combines very well with fresh starters or fried fish.
Lenardo Vineyards Venezia Giulia
The young enthusiastic Massimo di Lenardo makes very attractive wines at the small family winery in Northern Italy. The high quality is confirmed annually by the most important Italian wine guides such as Gambero Rosso Veronelli and Luca Maroni. Di Lenardo wines are extremely pure in smell and taste and confirm the high reputation of Friuli as a special Italian wine region. The sauvignon grape now has a great reputation in Northern Italy. The many hours of sunshine combined with cool vineyards ensure perfect ripening with mild acidity. Di Lenardo knows how to bring a great degree of purity into it.
Once again Massimo di Lenardo receives a very high score for his expressive, fresh-dry sauvignon. This wine stands out every year for its pure, almost un-Italian taste. This is partly due to an early harvest - just before the aromas can become too exotic - and the ultra-modern, hygienic way of working in the cellar.
But the fresh-dry style can also be explained by the sauvignon vines brought from Sancerre by Massimo's father. These do extremely well on the flat vineyards near Udine (northeast of Venice). They give the characteristic fresh sauvignon aroma, which is usually found in cooler wine regions. In combination with the precise working method, this takes the wine to an even higher level.
