Description
Pouilly Fumé is one of the most famous white wine regions in the Loire. The region is located in a kind of triangle with two other famous wine regions, namely Sancerre and Menetou-Salon. In these wine regions, only Sauvignon grapes are used for white wine production. Due to the relatively cool northern French climate, the grapes ripen slowly and for a long time. This creates an optimal balance between sugar and acids in the grapes. An absolute prerequisite for making high quality wines! Partly because of this, the Pouilly Fumé is one of the best white wines in France.
