Description

Bodegas San Esteban is the first cooperative of wine growers in the Rioja, founded in 1953 by sixteen progressive grape growers. Since then, this bodega has remained ahead of the competition thanks to continuous renovation of the wine cellar and vineyards. The main red wine of Bodegas San Esteban is the oak-aged Crianza.

This wine is made exclusively from perfectly ripe tempranillo from vines that are on average more than thirty years old. The crianza matures for a year in the American oak traditional for Rioja, but also partly in French oak. This refined and elegant red wine is an example for this famous Spanish wine region.
