Abbotts & Delaunay Pays d'Oc Les Fruits Sauvages Grenache Rosé 2023

Fruity, deliciously drinkable and elegant: these are the wines in the Les Fruits et Fleurs Sauvages series from Abbotts & Delaunay.

This seductive, southern French rosé is a pure Grenache. Owner Laurent Delaunay selects the grapes in the Aude and the Hérault. The warm Hérault produces very ripe grapes, which give the wine roundness and a rich taste. The cooler Aude produces grapes with more freshness, which ensures that the rosé also has an invigorating character.


In the cellar, Laurent keeps it simple. After a short maceration of the skins, which gives the rosé its beautiful soft pink colour, he presses the grapes and lets the juice ferment in stainless steel tanks at a cool temperature.

The result is a delicious rosé, beautifully scented with wild strawberries and raspberries and with a juicy, mild taste. It is delicious on its own, but also with a plank of dried meats, a summer salad, or chicken or vegetable skewers from the barbecue.
