Deep red Italian dessert wine. Intensely fruity in smell and full of mild sweet and strong taste. Excellent with chocolate chip cake and the typical Pandoro cake from Verona.
Description
As a specialty, Tiziano and Daniele make a small amount of recioto, the sweet variety of amarone. By separating part of the fermenting amarone wine earlier from the skins and lowering the temperature, the fermentation stops and plenty of unfermented sugar remains behind. As a result, the recioto combines very well with winter desserts such as nut cakes and dishes with chocolate.
