Read moreThe heart of Monte del Frà is located in the village of Custoza on the moraine hills of Lake Garda, just 15 km from Verona.
Today, the winery that was founded in 1958 has more than 140 hectares of vineyards. Its history is linked to the grand crus such as Cà del Magro, il vigneto Colombara, Grottino, Staffalo, Monte Godi, Monte Fitti, Mascarpine, Bagolina, Pezzarara and Monte del Frà. Over the past decade, the Bonomo family also owned a beautiful winery in the Valpolicella Classica village of Fumane along the banks of the Lena stream in Lena di Mezzo.
By carefully selecting the land on which vineyards are planted and by implementing meticulous agronomic practices, Monte del Frà is one of the most avant-garde wineries for the production of high-quality grapes. The vineyards were planted in Guyot in the areas of Cusotza, Bardolino and Lugana and with the classic "pergola" system in the Valpolicella Classica. These vines only produce 2-3 kg of grapes per plant and are the basis for the high quality standards of the winery.
The controlled management of raw materials and the implementation of winemaking procedures using the most modern techniques to preserve the characteristics of the grapes guarantee the ability of Monte del Frà to produce prestigious wines.
