Bordeaux Blend at its best
Smooth and refined, oak-matured French red wine from the best Cabernet grapes from the vineyard. Smells wonderfully of ripe cassis fruit and refined notes of oak. The taste is full and soft. Delicious with grilled beef.
Capt Saint Martin Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Malbec blend
The winemaking duo Pierre and Béatrice Ardoin have been proving for decades that good Bordeaux can be very affordable. This beautiful red 'petit' Bordeaux from Château Cap Saint-Martin is made from grapes from old Merlot vines, supplemented with approximately 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for six months in used oak barrels, followed by twelve months in larger tanks. The clarification here still takes place in a natural and traditional way, only with the help of egg white. A textbook example of Bordeaux with an excellent price-quality ratio! Classic and with its refinement and accessibility the ideal accompaniment to many traditional French brasserie dishes.
