The red Tasàri is a blend of the local nero d'avola and the international merlot. Where the former provides spiciness, the latter provides roundness. Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks. This keeps the wine nice and fresh and juicy. With its fruity, spicy character, this is the ideal red wine for pizza. It is also delicious with grilled vegetables, white meat and typical Sicilian dishes such as arancini or caponata.

Good everyday wine as it used to be made, that is one of the starting points of Caruso e Minini. That is why they have named their series of house wines Tasari. The name is a contraction of the Sicilian expression 'ta aisari', which means 'you must get up again'.

In other words, the family's intention is to revive the pure, simple, affordable house wines of yesteryear. That has certainly succeeded with the white and red Tasàri offered here. The grapes come from the Trapani area, on the westernmost tip of the island.
