Caruso e Minini
Bright red color, beautifully fragrant with ripe fruit tones, some caramel and mild spices. The taste is full and balanced and develops a mild tannin and aromatic final.
Intense Fruit harvested by hand
Beautiful mix (50/50) of the intensely fruity frappato, which with its cherry aromas is reminiscent of pinot noir, and the powerful tasting nerello mascalese. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks.
Then about a third matures for four months in small oak casks, making the wood dose seductive and refined. The final assembly has unmistakably very nice fruit notes and a delicious smoothness from the oak maturation.
This is a fine example of modern wine making while preserving the character of the traditional grapes. Stefano Caruso shows the quality of the relatively unknown viticulture from the province of Trapani. Delicious!
