Description
What a beautiful, well-made rosé from Alexandre Relvas, the winemaker of our popular Alentejo domain Herdade de São Miguel. Due to the hot climate in the south of Portugal, most of Alexandre's wines are beautifully balanced, but also deep in color and full, powerful and pronounced in taste. The Pom-Pom, on the other hand, has a striking light salmon pink color and a surprisingly refreshing taste.

Alexandre makes it from hand-picked touriga nacional, syrah and aragonez (tempranillo). Once in the cellar, the grapes are pressed after a short maceration on the skins, which gives the juice a beautiful salmon pink colour. Alexandre ferments the juice partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels. Finally, he lets 10% of the wine mature for four months in French oak barrels, for that little bit of extra filling and creaminess.

The Pom-Pom is also a juicy, accessible rosé, with hints of strawberry, peach and grapefruit and a persistent taste. Drink it as an aperitif with some small snacks, but also with summer salads, grilled fish or shellfish. A beautiful rosé that also looks great on the table with its special appearance.

Drinking at
Accessible, refreshing Provence-style rosé to enjoy on its own or with small snacks. Also nice with crostino with tomato pesto, white bean salad with tuna or prawns and fish from the barbecue.

Tasting note
Light salmon pink wine with an expressive scent of strawberry, currant, peach and grapefruit. Refined, juicy style with good fruit filling and invigorating freshness. The finish is smooth and persistent.
