Château Cap Saint-Martin Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Cuvée Prestige Sauvignon Blanc 2022

What an excellent white Bordeaux from Cap Saint Martin! Concentrated, ripe, rich and beautifully dry, it looks like a good Graves! But from Blaye, and with a much more modest price tag.

Pierre makes this striking cuvée from part of his sauvignon blanc, which he harvests by hand once perfectly ripe. The low yields in the vineyards ensure the beautiful concentration of flavors in the final wine.

Pierre makes this striking cuvée from part of his sauvignon blanc, which he harvests by hand once perfectly ripe. The low yields in the vineyards ensure the beautiful concentration of flavors in the final wine.

After fermentation, Pierre ages the wine for six months in one-year-old wooden barrels. He also uses bâtonnage: occasionally stirring the precipitated yeasts. This combination gives the wine extra flavor intensity and body and subtle notes of brioche and oak.

This white Cap Saint Martin is a beautiful quality wine that rightly bears the name Prestige. Beautifully dry, with expressive, ripe fruit scents, a full, round taste and a refined wood influence. An ideal white wine for a luxurious fish dish.
