Information
Refinement instead of exuberant candy scents
Very professional vinification by Hugh Ryman
A nice accompaniment to refined fish dishes |
A fresh Sauvignon Blanc
Juicy fresh dry bergerac with fine yellow fruit in the nose and light citrus tones. The taste is aromatic and has a long, fresh and balanced aftertaste.
Mirabelle
Fresh sauvignon grapes, supplemented with ripe, mild sémillon (15%), form the basis of this refined tasting Bergerac. The grapes are harvested at night, so that they can be processed cool. After picking, the skins are briefly macerated, which yields maximum fruit nuances.
For more complexity in the blend, winemaker Hugh Ryman ferments about 20% of the wine in used oak barrels. The wine then remains in contact with the yeast cells for almost four months and is minimally filtered. The result is top-notch: refined, fragrant and juicy and ideal as a non-dominant accompaniment to fine dishes.
A stark contrast to often large-scale wines, which, due to technical interventions in the wine cellar, expressively smell of sweets and boxwood. A permanent fixture in our range for years.
