A Prestige from the Languedoc
Fresh and delicate nose with aromas of white peaches and lychees, in addition to a hint of flowers and minerals. Sparkling, robust rosé with lots of body and depth and a delicately fruity finale.
This exceptional rose is embraced by international wine journalists. Renowned wine journalist (former Robert Parker) Jeb Dunnuck has been a fan for years and recently even gave it 90 points. Exceptionally high for a rose!
In a beautiful matte bottle, magnum or Jeroboam
Owner Gerard Bru is a self-made man. Became wealthy after selling a company and invested this wealth in a piece of land northwest of Montpellier. There was nothing there except a few olive trees. Not a vine in sight anyway.
No AOC yet, but Gerard had every confidence in this terroir with the clay soils and slate. From that moment on, Chateau Haut Puech has grown into a prestigious domain with only 187 hectares of vineyard. They make 10 different red wines, 2 white wines and 3 rose wines spread over the areas Coteaux du Languedoc, Pic Saint Loup and Saint Drezery.
Olives and truffles
In addition to wine, Gerard has always left room for the olive trees that he found on the land as he bought it. The old trees still occupy 15 hectares. The olives are still harvested and transformed into limited edition olive oil. This is only available in the shop on the domain.
Another special feature on the domain at Chateau Puech Haut. Truffles can be found! Another piece of land of about 15 hectares is full of old oak trees. On this piece of land the black gold can be found: black truffle!
