Information
Tasting note Enira white
Brilliant, deep straw color fascinates at first. Rich bouquet charms with aromas of pear, apricot, quince, melon and lime. Round and soft body, dense texture and balanced acidity are felt in the taste. Beautiful freshness and finesse at the end. A delicate but complex wine to enjoy!
Description
Enira has been proving for years that it can handle French grape varieties excellently. Not surprising, because the brain behind this Bulgarian domain is iconic Saint-Émilion producer Stephan von Neipperg.
Bordeaux producer that he is, he doesn't turn his back on a wine from southern French white grape varieties. Taste this fantastic Enira White, made from predominantly Marsanne, supplemented with equal parts Viognier and Roussanne.
Once optimally ripe, the grapes are harvested by hand. After a thorough selection on the sorting table, the grapes fermented separately. After fermentation, the wines mature for several months on the yeasts, which are stirred regularly (bâtonnage). This gives more body and a bit of toast. Finally, blending and bottling take place.
The end result is downright impressive. What a beautiful, characterful white wine! Ripe fruit notes (pear, apricot, melon), juicy fresh acidity, a full, intense taste and what a length. Really a wine for the table, for example with chicken from the oven or a nice fish dish.
