Description
Thanks to winemakers such as Rémi Branger and Gwénaëlle Croix, good Muscadet is one of the best tips for lovers of elegant, fresh cool-climate wines. Their Domaine de la Pépière is, according to the written press, one of the best in the region. Here, everything revolves around refinement, freshness, length of taste and terroir expression, based on the philosophy of a biodynamic method with minimal intervention.

Rémi and Gwénaëlle make Sur Lie from the regionally unique melon de bourgogne grape, harvested in water-permeable gravel vineyards with vines that are around 25 years old. The rather dry soil ensures a limited yield, which translates into high-quality grapes.

After manual picking, the grapes are immediately fermented naturally – without additives – in the cellar. This is followed by the typical regional maturation 'sur lie' (on the yeasts).

It produces a beautiful and intensely pure Muscadet, with a beautiful freshness and taste length. A delicious wine to drink as such, but also fantastic with mussels or light fish dishes.

Drinking at
Subtle, fresh dry white wine to drink solo or with light (fish) dishes. Delicious with salade niçoise, cod with spring vegetables from the wok, mussels Flemish style or young, hard cheeses.

Tasting note
Delicate white wine with a scent expression of flowers, apple, pear and brioche. Juicy, creamy and invigorating in taste with white stone fruit. The finish is nicely dry and refined with salty nuances.

Shelf life
Now beautiful and durable for up to 4 years after harvest.
