What you call a hidden gem, this Touraine-Oisly. The name may not be as well known as that of the greats Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, but the quality and authenticity of this Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire are excellent, especially considering the modest price.

The wine is the pride of Domaine de Marcé. It is one of the few producers in Touraine-Oisly, a small sub-appellation of the much larger Touraine. The area - just south of Blois, sandwiched between the Loire and the Cher - has only been recognized as an official AOP since 2011, but the Godet family has six generations of experience there.

Winemaker Christophe Godet knows better than anyone how suitable the terroir here is for unique quality wine. He cultivates approximately 35 hectares of vineyards with predominantly sauvignon blanc vines, planted on sand and clay soils. This composition gives his wines elegance as well as intensity and weight.

And you can taste that in the Coulée Galante: a delicious white wine! With its recognizable, fresh Sauvignon signature, but also remarkably soft and rich character, it is also a beautiful wine at the table. Try it classically with young goat cheese, green salads or fish, or more adventurously with slightly spicy Asian dishes.
