Bright red wine with a spicy aroma of fresh red fruit, such as red currants and earthy notes. The taste structure is fresh, elegant and ends with a fruity, slightly spicy aftertaste.

Description

Pierre Morgeau selects the best located plots with the oldest vines for his most beautiful red wine. He also harvests his Cabernet Franc later and riper. Although this results in fewer grapes per vine, they are considerably more concentrated and have more aroma and flavor potential.

 

These extras get into the wine by allowing the skins to work longer on the fermenting juice. After fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in 500-liter barrels made of French oak from the Allier forests. Pierre wants to avoid the strong smell and taste of new oak in his refined red wine. That is why he first uses these precious barrels for two years to mature part of his Chardonnay Tradition.

The wood influence on this beautiful red Loire wine therefore remains subtle. The beautiful ripening notes are especially striking. A real recommendation for lovers of elegant, fresh red wines – also slightly chilled.
