Description
Meursault is one of the most famous white wines of Burgundy. The vineyards are located in the Côte de Beaune south of the city of Beaune. The Côte de Nuits (north of Beaune) is famous for its quality red wines, the Côte de Beaune is famous for its high quality white Burgundy. Meursault is a good example of this. Countless winegrowers produce different styles of white wine on just 364 hectares. This varies from greasy Chardonnays from the low-lying and clay-rich vineyards to a more complex and fresher style from the calcareous slopes. Vincent Bouzereau makes the latter type of wine with great power and finesse. Preferably aerate the wine 1 hour before serving!
