Description
The famous Austrian Grüner Veltliner is a real rarity in Alto Adige. The grape is grown exclusively in Valle Isarco – the sub-region where Eisacktal is considered one of the most prominent producers – but has been since 1880!
Eisacktal harvests the grapes from only 27 hectares of mountain vineyards at an altitude of 500 to 800 metres. This high altitude ensures a refined freshness in the wine. At the same time, the late-ripening Grüner can ripen perfectly there due to the sunny location.
Once picked, the grapes are gently pressed in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine matures briefly on the yeasts. This method ensures that this Italian Grüner is wonderfully fresh and juicy, but also has ripe fruit and a nice filling.
Drink it as an aperitif or with cheese fondue, chicken, schnitzel or soft cheeses. A refreshing interpretation of a well-known grape!
