Description

Negroamaro, together with primitivo, is the star grape of southern Italy and extremely popular with wine lovers. Not surprising, because this dark-colored grape, in combination with the warm southern Italian sun and a good winemaker, produces wonderfully ripe, smooth wines: full of flavor and at the same time easy to drink.

This delicious Elios is an excellent example! It is made in the ultramodern cantina Cellino San Marco. After the grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, they ferment in stainless steel tanks. The wine has a light wood impression, but is mainly made on the fruit and intended to drink in its youth.

It produces a particularly tasty Negroamaro, which is well worth its money. Drink it on its own, or with a platter of freshly cut cheeses and meats, a pizza or pasta with tomato sauce.
