Description
With quality wines like those of the two progressive Greeks Yiannis Paraskevopoulos and Leon Karatsalos, Greece deserves your attention. Their renowned winery Gaia Wines is located in the Nemea wine region on the Peloponnese peninsula. Wine has been produced here since 500 years BC.

On the higher plots near the village of Koutsi, the local and late-ripening red grape agiorgitiko retains freshness, which provides a nice tension in the wine. The six-month maturation in oak barrels then provides a nice rounding of the aroma and taste.

The Agiorgitiko is a seductively scented and balanced tasting red wine, which will undoubtedly appeal to lovers of beautiful Tuscan wines, for example. For example, combine this beautiful red Greek with grilled meat or pasta with mushrooms and serve it at 15 to 17˚C for an optimal experience.
