Tasting note Angelis Verdicchio
Fragrant, dry white wine with notes of ripe yellow fruit (peach, nectarine), citrus fruit and flowers. Beautifully strong, plump and thick. Full of character, juicy and refreshing in the medium aftertaste.
Description
Family domain Tenuta de Angelis has been a fixed value in our range for years, because of the tasty, authentic and affordable wines from the Marken. Father and son Fausti own vineyards in Offida, where their well-known Pecorino is made, and in Piceno, where their fantastic red wines come from.
This Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi is the latest wine from father and son Fausti. Because the Faustis do not own any vineyards in Castelli di Jesi, they have never been able to make a Verdiccio before. However, it so happens that their oenologist, Roberto Potenini, has a domain in Castelli di Jesi. Through him they could buy verdicchio grapes, of excellent quality, of course.
Subsequently turning it into an attractive and typical Marken wine is precisely the specialty of Quinto and Alighiero. As befits a good Verdicchio, the wine has aromas of flowers and stone fruit, juicy, fresh acidity and an almond in the aftertaste. An excellent aperitif, but also very suitable at the table, for example with a plate of pasta with vongole.
