Fratelli Seghesio Barolo 2018

Bright red in color with some development. Spicy, slightly matured in the scent with black fruit such as blackberries and berries. The taste is full, round with mild tannin and ends with a fragrant, lingering finish.

 

The Seghesio family owns about 10 hectares of naturally cultivated vineyards in the hills of Monforte d'Alba. Of these, four hectares are planted with more than 50-year-old Nebbiolo vines that are entitled to the Barolo designation of origin. The hand-picked grapes are spontaneously fermented. The wine then matures in large Slovenian barrels and smaller barrels of French Allier oak. Characteristic of the style of the house is the refinement of the wine and the suppleness of the tannin. This makes this Barolo very suitable for the cellar, but also very tempting now - especially if you decant it.
