Magnum Brunello di Montalcino

Beautiful and characteristic, light red colored Brunello with scents of fresh red fruit and notes of oak aging. The taste is full and fresh with ripe tannins. The finale is minutes long and aromatically strong.

A refined Magnum with power and depth.

Castello Romitorio in the famous Brunello di Montalcino is owned by the artist Sandro Chia, who bought the dilapidated azienda in 1984 to live there. He restored the buildings and planted sangiovese vines on the surrounding slopes.

The vineyards are located in the cool, northwestern part of Brunello. That now appears to be a great advantage because, in contrast to the warm south, the grapes ripen slower and longer here. That is of crucial importance for the beautiful acidity that characterizes a great Brunello. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by aging for 24 months in small oak barrels and another 12 months in the bottle.
