Vin blanc from Languedoc
This surprising white Argali from top domain Puech-Haut is a brilliant marriage between southern warmth and maritime coolness. It is made from the typical southern French grape rolle (vermentino) and aromatic grape varieties sauvignon blanc and muscat.
White Cuvée is a blend of Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc and a little Muscat
Rolle can ripen perfectly in the Peuch-Haut vineyards about twenty kilometers northeast of Montpellier. But the two aromatic grape varieties are also doing well there. Due to the higher location (50-150 meters above sea level) and the cooling influence of the Mediterranean Sea, the sauvignon and muscat retain their expressive aromas and fresh acidity in this special place in the Languedoc.
Once harvested, the three grape varieties are processed separately. First of all, they are pressed immediately upon arrival. After a short stabilization to allow the solid particles to settle, fermentation starts at a low temperature to preserve fruitiness. Once fermented, the three wines are blended.
It results in a special and exceptionally tasty white wine. The white Argali combines an attractive liveliness, aroma and fresh juiciness with a soft, full taste. With its seductive notes of tropical fruit and modest alcohol, this is a white wine that will keep you drinking! Very tasty with (Asian) dishes with fish, crustaceans and shellfish, or as an aperitif.
