Description
Filippo Chia, the acclaimed producer of top quality Brunello di Montalcino, also makes a beautiful, classic Chianti Colli Senesi in his cellars. The vineyards are located in the hills around the beautiful Siena and have been known for centuries for the particularly good terroir.

With the same quality standards and cellar techniques as for his Brunello production, Filippo gets the most out of his 'Colli Senesi grapes'. In addition to the regular range, at our request he did an exclusive bottling of his Chianti with aging in newer barrels and more roundness in taste.

The 85% share of sangiovese was supplemented with syrah and merlot, which gives the wine a wonderful extra fullness. The maturation in 5000-litre Slavonian oak barrels completes it.

This beautiful, red Tuscan has a distinguished origin and tastes round and accessible. Not to be missed if you like fine Italian wines. You can recognize the special bottling by the 'Chia' label, which was created by the famous Italian artist and father of Filippo, Sandro Chia.

Drink at
Intense, wood-aged red wine to enjoy at the table, for example with lasagne bolognese, risotto with mushrooms or ossobuco.

Tasting note
Ruby red colored wine with a refined olfactory expression of plum, black cherry, clove, bay leaf and oak. The taste is powerful and sultry with sun-drenched fruit, fresh acidity and firm tannins. Sustained finale with toast and tobacco.
