Description
The Merlot grape is picky and does not like great heat. This world-renowned grape performs best in a vineyard where temperatures are moderate and can cool sharply at night.
Based on his European technical know-how, the Frenchman Sébastien Cabaret chose the right place for the vineyards in the Chilean Central Valley, mainly in the Curicó sub-region. He makes wine under almost paradisiacal conditions. Plenty of sun, ample availability of Andean meltwater in the vineyard and proximity to the cool ocean.
His Merlot is a textbook example of good quality New World wine. Round and supple in taste with scents of ripe dark fruit and – due to the short contact with oak – seductive toast aromas. It is suitable for many occasions: just like that, outside of a meal or as an accompaniment to a wide range of dishes.
