Description
Stefan Winter is a white wine maker through and through. This is evident from this Blanc de Noir, because he even makes a beautiful white wine from his blue Spätburgunder grapes!
How do you do that, make a white wine from a blue grape? Easy. Wine gets its color through contact with the skin of the grape, which contains the dyes. The less contact with the skins, the less color the final wine will have.
To make this white Spätburgunder, Stefan only uses the first part of the pressing. That juice has hardly been exposed to the peels and is therefore virtually colourless, just like a white wine. The fermentation and short maturation take place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is bottled.
It produces a delicious, surprising white wine. Juicy, mild and fresh, with the taste of ripe apple and stone fruit and just a little more filling than an average white wine. Like all Winters wines, it is sparkling clean, refined and super seductive. Original as an aperitif, but also delicious with various dishes. Recommended!
Drink with
Great for drinks or with light fish dishes and salads with shellfish.
Tasting note
Original white wine with a refined scent of peach, ripe apple and white blossom. Refreshing, intensely juicy and dry in taste with a light almond touch in the final.
