Description

Nowhere in California is the climate as diverse as in the Monterey wine region. You will find no less than four different climate zones, from relatively cool to quite warm.

Granite Coast Vineyards is considered one of the leading producers in the region and owns vineyards in different microclimates. This allows the estate to produce different styles of wine from different grape varieties.

The grapes for this elegant Pinot are sustainably grown in the cooler northern part of Monterey. The conditions here are perfect for the early ripening Pinot Noir. Once harvested, the grapes are rigorously selected and destemmed. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in a mix of new and neutral French oak barrels.

It produces a silky, elegant Pinot Noir with a beautiful balance between ripe fruit, fresh acidity and well-dosed oak. With its notes of red fruit, forest floor and toast, this is a delicious accompaniment to dishes with mushrooms or creamy white mould cheeses.

Drinking at

Elegant, fruity red wine, preferably slightly chilled. Delicious as such, with duck salad, grilled chicken, cannelloni with mushrooms or ripe white mold cheeses.

Tasting note

Light ruby red wine with an open aroma of cherry, red currant, rosehip and laurel. Elegant style Pinot Noir with jammy red fruit, nice freshness and fine tannins in the taste. The finish is smooth with sweet and sour cherry and toast.

Shelf life

Drink from 3 years and keep well for 7 to 8 years after harvest.
