Description
Want to discover the crème de la crème of the famous Bordeaux wine region without paying an astronomical sum? This is possible with this beautiful organic Le 19ème Rang from Château Haut-Bages-Libéral.
This winery is a fifth grand cru classé with a spectacular location in Pauillac: it has none other than Château Latour, Pichon Baron and Pichon Lalande as direct neighbors. Over the last five years, Haut-Bages-Libéral has performed well above its original classification.
As an introduction to the château and the famous appellation, Haut-Bages-Libéral produces this Le 19ème Rang. The wine takes its name from the plot where the organically grown cabernet sauvignon and merlot are harvested.
After manual picking, the grapes in the cellar receive just as generous a treatment as the grapes intended for the 'grand vin'. The wine matures for ten months in barriques before Le 19ème Rang is bottled.
Expect a beautiful ripe, distinguished, but also fruity and elegant Bordeaux, with polished tannins and a long aftertaste. A wonderful introduction to Pauillac and grand cru classé Haut-Bages-Libéral!
