The delicious full of red wine
French red wine made from the mourv̬dre, grenache and cinsault grape. Spicy fruity aroma and a full, powerful taste. This spicy wine is delicious with grilled meat or game.
La Tour du Bon from the north west of Bandol
The beautiful, high-altitude vineyard of the Domaine de la Tour du Bon is located in the northwest of the Bandol appellation, sandwiched between the Mediterranean Sea and the Provencal mountains. Bandol appeals to the imagination with 300 days of sunshine and a moderating sea breeze. Provided it is in good hands, the Mourvèdre grape - 'the king of the grape varieties' - ripens perfectly here.
The best Bandols have long been among the great classic wines of France. Agnès Henry makes very elegant and refined wines on her estate, partly thanks to its relatively cool location. Its red Bandol contains 55% mourvèdre, supplemented with 25% grenache, 15% cinsault and 5% carignan from old vineyards with a low yield (25 hl / ha).
After fermentation, the wine stays in large oak barrels for eighteen months. Large and with the potential to mature in the bottle for at least seven to eight years.
Top quality red from the South of France
For years, lovers of quality wines from Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre have no longer exclusively focused on the classic regions of the Rhône. The famous wines with names such as Côte Rôtie, Hermitage, Cornas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape face strong competition from top domains in Languedoc and Provence.
They now produce world-class wines that are increasingly finding their way to the top gastronomy. Come and taste them in our store or order the sample package for a further introduction.

What do we think?: | Rob: Full red color, beautiful scent with a complex aroma of spicy fruit notes, cocoa and spices. The full, powerful taste is balanced with fresh and mild tannins in the aftertaste. |
