Description
Laurel Glen is one of California's iconic winemakers. The current vineyards were planted in 1970 when Patrick Campbell started making wine in a small-scale and traditional way. He even cultivated a proprietary clone of the Cabernet Sauvignon that was recognized and registered by the renowned University of Davis.
The combination of elevated east-facing vineyards on the slopes of Sonoma Mountain's rocky soil and moderate temperature is unique and lends this ripe cabernet sauvignon its beautiful and balanced character.
Counterpoint is made from grapes with the softest tannins and is suitable for drinking immediately after purchase. The maturation on partly new casks of French and American oak wood (30% and 10% respectively) contributes to the creamy and luxurious taste. Impressive wine from Sonoma, where the first vines were planted as early as 1812 by Russian settlers.
