Description
The south of France is once again in the spotlight when it comes to current wines. During the strong rise of affordable wines from, for example, Chile, South Africa and Australia, regional wine from the Languedoc seemed to be doomed. In recent years, however, restaurateurs in particular have been looking for wines that pair better with dishes than most New World wines. Culinary applicability and drinkability are important selection criteria. The Fontanet wines fully meet this requirement. The red is made from Cinsault Grenache Carignan and Syrah grapes. The wine making process is aimed at making a smooth, accessible wine that can be served slightly chilled (14 to 15 degrees), for example, on hot days.
