Tasting note Loredan Gasparini Colli Trevigiani Capo di Stato
Italian red wine with the aroma of ripe red fruit and spicy oak. The taste is powerfully full and spicy. Delicious with wild or refined beef. Also nice to drink in the evening.
Description
The Count Loredan Gasparini made this beautiful red Italian wine in 1964 for the first time. The vineyards are located in Montello near Treviso and are planted with grape vines imported from France such as cabernet sauvignon cabernet franc and malbec. The wine ripens more than 12 months on small oak casks. Soon after the introduction, the Capo di Stato became a popular wine. At the state dinner during a visit of Charles de Gaulle to Italy, the wine was served. De Gaulle found this powerful red wine so good that the Count Gasparini gave the name Capo di Stato in tribute. Literally translated this means; head of the state!
