Red wine from the Cotes du Rhone

Fruity spicy red wine from France with a fresh full taste. Delicious to drink on its own, but also very good to combine with lightly spiced dishes.

House wine of the year!!!

Denis Alary makes a special red regional wine in the municipality of Cairanne in the southern Rhône with a small percentage of cabernet sauvignon grapes. This grape variety is not traditionally found in this region and is therefore not permitted for the Côtes du Rhône appellation.

However, Alary's plot gives such good results that Denis refuses to dig up the sticks. He would rather downgrade the wine to Vin de Pays than have to sacrifice an old vineyard in the best part of Cairanne. His tenacity leads to a beautiful unfiltered red wine.
