Information
coveted quality white wine
juicy, lush and fresh: top chardonnay
great burgundy for a fraction of the price of meursault
spicy and dry; delicious with fish or poultry in cream sauce

Saint-Véran Nurseries

Spicy dry white wine from the French Burgundy with an aroma of ripe yellow fruit oak and toast. The powerful fresh taste goes well with fish or poultry in cream sauce.

The delicious Burgundy

High-quality Burgundy does not only come from the Côte d'Or with communes such as Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Jacques and his wife Nathalie Saumaize have been proving for years in Saint Véran in the southern part of Burgundy that they can compete with the big established names.

One of their most sought-after white wines is the small production Saint Véran Vieilles Vignes from the En Crèches vineyard. The beautiful minerality and freshness are paired with perfectly ripe Chardonnay grapes. The thoughtful and modestly dosed oak aging is reminiscent of much more expensive regional wines. This is truly great Burgundy but for a fraction of the price of, for example, a good Meursault.
