High quality Burgundy does not come exclusively from the Côte d'Or with municipalities such as Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Jacques and his wife Nathalie Saumaize have proven for years that they can compete with the big established names in Saint Véran in the southern part of Burgundy.

One of their most coveted white wines is the small production Saint Véran Vieilles Vignes from the En Crèches vineyard. The wonderful minerality and freshness are accompanied by perfectly ripe chardonnay grapes. The thoughtful and modestly dosed oak aging is reminiscent of much more expensive locals. This is really great Burgundy but for a fraction of the price of, for example, a good Meursault.
