Tasting note Mas Bres Pinot Noir
French red wine with the intense scent of cherries and blackberries. The taste is smooth and soft. Nice wine with not too pronounced dishes with chicken, pork or fragrant vegetables.
Description
Maurice Barnouin harvests in his relatively cool vineyards a striking and refined pinot noir that is at odds with the many powerful southern French wines of the usual Mediterranean grapes. The demand for elegant red wines with a pure fruit expression is increasing, especially for the warm summer months. More and more often the red wine comes out of the fridge! Beaujolais is becoming popular again for this reason and this pinot noir - with its beautiful light flavor structure - fits in perfectly with this.
By harvesting the grapes at optimum ripeness and applying a cool maceration technique before fermentation, the winemaker achieves fruitiness and flexibility. A short skin contact during fermentation and the absence of wood aging emphasize the typicity of this fruity and accessible Pinot Noir.
